I won't be going to Otakon again this year, but this year I purposely chose not to even though I have access to the money. Because I just don't want to go this year really. Not to mention, my summer is turning out to be pretty nice regardless of Otakon and all the shit that happened (like losing my job). Like the title said, this has been a pretty awesome 4th of July weekend.

First, I got drunk for the first time yesterday. It was a complete accident but ended up pretty funny. I was drinking wine and since it actually tasted ok, I didn't have the same apprehension with it that I usually have with alcohol. I drunk two cups of wine and a cup of champagne then next thing I know, I'm calling everyone and everything a "bitch motherfucker" while trying to give some relationship advice to my little cousin, lol. But I was smart about it and made sure to drink a lot of Gatorade while I was drinking and I even got to come out of that without any sort of hangover . My boyfriend wasn't so lucky

Then, today we went to the state park and went hiking! It was my first time hiking too. There suspiciously weren't a lot of animals around, but it was really steep and rocky trails. We skipped rocks and put our feet in the river dam, watching people swim around in it. I would have never swam in that dirty ass water...but whatever floats their boat. We saw a train tracks too and my older cousin's husband wanted to go in the dark tunnel...but we were too scared because it was a live train track. We tried to fly kites but...it didn't work right . Then we got some crabs (a Baltimore summer tradition!).

All in all, its been pretty good. I'm just hoping something horrible doesn't happen to "balance" things back out to me being miserable. That tends to happen to me...so I'm a little worried about my father now who's on a biking trip rockclimbing. He hasn't called in two days now so I'm assuming his phone's out of service because he's in the mountains. Soo...I'm guessing in this situation no news is good news 'cause if something bad happened the group he was with would have called or something.
